What all have you done to mount amps in the trunk?

It looks like (from pics) that some of you have bolted MDF board in there.

Surely, it's an option, but doesn't this further deaden the sound coming from the trunk?

Are there other options?

Currently, I've only got an amp for my subs, and it's bolted to the subwoofer box (idiot shop install, don't ask - I don't go there anymore).

I want to move it to the same location the factory amps were in, but I need to mount a board or something there.

Any suggestions?

It really depends on how big the amp is and if you have the JBL sub-woofer.

If you don't have the JBL sub-woofer you can mount it under the rear deck. Thats where I had my small one till I finished the board that you seen. The best thing about it is that you can't see it either.

And your right .... My MDF board is restricting bass from entering the interior. I do hear bass, just not all of it. I had to fix my rear-view 3 times this past year. This spring it will change. I'm going for a complete make over while adding a few more stuff.
