Is there any downside to getting Aluminum subframe bushings? I have read all the positives, but was wondering if there was any negatives. I am redoing my suspension within the next few months and was wondering wheather to get Gen III bushings or the Aluminum ones. Thanks, aaron

They tend to transmit more noise and vibration to the cabin. This is what enthusiests such as myself call "road feel" rofl

I have heard of one case where someone found them to be too harsh, but he must have been a real... uh... nevermind he might be reading this...

anyway, get the aluminum ones. You won't regret it.

I must agree, I just got them for my SHO and if you saw my old, completely destroyed rubber pieces of sh*t, you'd understand. They may feel a little rougher than brand new rubber ones, but compared to my old ones, it's quite a bit smoother. Much better feel of the road. Honesty, this is the first real mod I've done to my car. I've been spending all my money up until now just on maintainance. Get them, you will love the AL SFBs.

half-way there, I think.
I've had mine installed for over 3 years now. I have yet to find a downside. There might be a little more noise and vibration, but I really didn't notice any. IMHO - the positives outway any negatives there might be.

Definitely get Aluminum SFB's! They will definitely increase steering response. Some people say they can't tell the difference when they put them in, but I certainly can. What other suspension parts are you changing?

There are differing opinions on the various styles, but most people reccomend the cup style sold by Bryan King. Go to the classifieds section of this forum to see his ad. His contact information is also listed there.

There isn't any definitive information on whose SFB's are the best. It's all based on opinion, but both types perform the same function and will give you great steering response.

After looking around and talking to different owners, I got the BK Cups. After my inquiries about this and the SHOnut TOB I figure it isn't worth the possibility of something bad happening to my baby. ;)

More pro's than con's.

All the feedback that ive heard the pro's greatly outweight the con's, over stock bushings.

I believe it was removed as the thread was going in the direction bashing of one or the other Bushings style.

It's all been heard let's turn the page. :thumbs_u:

I didn't edit this thread (until now) but if posts were removed, obviously one of the moderators was trying to keep it on topic.

After seeing both designs first hand, I went with the cup style. Steering response is right now! Definitely get them! :thumbs_u:

Tony, no problem at all I was just wondering where it went. I know I didn't bash the ring style bushing, just stating info that has been previously discovered by myself and others. It would be nice to recieve a notice or explanation from a moderator on why a post was deleted or edited. I have done it in the past so nobody is wondering where their post went.
