Couple days ago, i noticed what sounded like a belt squeal. Checked the belts out yesterday and all were tight. I started spinning pulleys to find the noise. When I checked the alternator, it spun very good, except every revolution, I heard a little squeak. So at full speed it sounds like a solid squeak.

Is there any way to **** the alternator? It does not feel like its binding like the bearing is bad, just an annoying squeak.

Might not feel like it, but it sure sounds like a bearing. If your handy, peel it apart, you can re-oil those bearings with gear oil I'm told. They "pick" apart the way the bearings on the tensioners do. pop the seal's, spray em out with brake cleaner, and oil em, and be done with it. :)

Or I have a brand new reman unit I just pulled off the 93 I'll sell ya.. ;)

Disassemble alternator. Carefully pry off bearing dust seal with pick. If it's all black inside the bearing is toast. Any other color it's okay. Do not try to clean out the old grease. Just add 2-3 drops of heavy oil, gear oil is fine. Reinstall dust shield. Use wire through holes in case to hold brushes back so you can reinstall commutator. There is a little thingy at the back that sometimes touches the fan and makes noise.
