Alternator belt tensioner failed. Took bearing out and regreased them, but it still hesitates to turn as smoothly as it should. Sounds like a truck's engine when at idle. Where is the cheaping place I could get a replacement? I know this whole piece comes from japan and ss has it for 179, but does anyone have a better deal for me? I only need the actual wheel, not the whole piece. Best price wins and I will buy it instantly. Also, please tell me how many miles on the wheel. Thanks!

On my '90 the bearing is a sealed unit, pressed into the pulley. Is there a difference on the '89? Unless something is physically wrong (ie bent) the pulley should only need a new bearing.

Since I just had mine out, its not coming out again for anything ;-) But I would take it to a machine shop so they can measure ID and OD as there are a million sized bearings out there, its just a matter of matching one up. Or you can just buy the whole thing...one reason I took mine apart was I thought it was bad; making lots of noise. Turned out to be the alternator.
