Alcatara cleaning

I used Sonax on the Alcatara wheel to clean it and noticed it has turned it a darker grey as compared to the light grey. Any ideas how to restore it to the lighter grey? Thank you .

It may be still damp from cleaning it. It will look darker until it dries. If already dry take a dry clean cloth and go around it a few times might take out some more dirt n oil that might be on top after cleaning.

Yes its dry and seems to be clean. Maybe I'll try with just water . Funny I tested a inconspicuous spot behind the wheel before and it seemed to dry the same color of the wheel .

I have just been using armor all cleaning wipes. At first I was afraid to clean the wheel but after digging around the net, nothing special to clean Alcatara.

yeah, on googling it, I realized it's microfiber.

I use that same sonax stuff and a microfiber towel not a cloth one came out great....

Also can try getting it damp cloth then microwave it for a lil bit then try it .

Hmm .I Don't think I used a microfiber . I'm sure it was a towel with very light dabbing pressure

Mine was real dirty and very hard so the heat helped a lot looks great now....

So, basically plastic!
