Hey guys,
Just got done working on the SHO for about 30 minutes. I removed my cold air intake I made last year and installed the Airaid one tonight. Not a bad design as I was expecting (I sell alot of these for many different vehicles) and the fitment was pretty good. Here are some pics of the before and after.

I know SOME of you guys are going to **** and moan, rant and rave about this, but I put it on, it looks good under the hood, and I'll be buying a different one if I like the next one better. Its what I do. I don't keep things the same for long. What I would like to have is the Hennessey chrome piping and Kirk's carbon fiber one he's working on. When that happens, this one will be up for sale.

Power wise, couldn't tell a difference from my home made kit. I got this real cheap through my work, it's one of the first performance oriented parts for this car, so I got it. I'm in line for some exhaust up next, so stay tuned. My home made kit did have a killer "whooshing" sound as this one here is very, very hard to notice unless you know what you are listening for. I didn't go burn up the streets tonight with it, sorry.

And my damn battery cap looks to be popping up too. I have a little acid puddle on the battery, some on the hard brake lines, strut bar and splatter on the motor shield and plastic parts under the strut bar. I can't get the cap to go down anymore, so guys check your battery from time to time. The Airaid kit was not the cause of this either. :nut: On to the pics!

Not bad looking, just wish it would replace the bent up factory stuff. I do like the box design on the Airraid however. The chrome piping from the Hennessey kit really gets HOT! I'm actually going to wrap it and paint it black. There really isn't anything under the hood that is polished anyway.

Looks good... but so does your "Home-made" system. Not sure it would fit "Brick" without a few modifications. My custom RotoFab-Moser CAI on Brick seems to fit further into the fender than your old system.

I don't hear any "woosh" likely due to Magnaflows, but I hear the pop off valve "Chirp"
now! (Free "Noise Fluff" with cheap "Engine Fluff"!):laugh_ti::laugh_ti::laugh_ti::thankyou:

I have had this intake on my car in March as a beta tester for airaid and then received the final production unit in may and has been on my car since then.

Autoanything has Labor Day special of $25. off plus free freight on $199. +

Their Reg price is $249. Makes it a good deal if you want it. Would attempt to fit it to
EB Brick, if I didn't have my custom Rotofab-Moser CAI..:nut::nut::nut:

Just installed my Airaid. Well... That was easy! This thing truly roars when you hit the gas. I am interested to see if i have any MPG gains on the interstate. Has anyone seen any difference?

I have a tune on my car along with the intake and the gas mileage has stayed the same as when the car was stock. I really like how you can really hear the turbos with this intake.

Haven't seen any MPG difference yet. I'm still holding at 19.8 around town though. Guess that's not too bad huh? :p
