I installed pilot fog lights with a small led light that can change 7 different colors. They are the perfect size and shape and look great. The problem I am having is that when I accelerate they go out and when I slow down and drive at a consistant speed thay come back on. If i floor it then they will go off again. Is this caused by a battery or alternator problem? I checked all the wires and hookups and they are perfect. Please help. Thanks, Ed

Are you talking about just the led going out? Maybe you should get your alt checked.

Ok

The whole light goes off. You can't run the LED's and the H4's at the same time cause it will overheat the LED's and cause a fire hazard. Only the fog lights go off. Everything else stays on...

Where did you get your main power from? Where did you get your power for the switched at? Where is your ground connected?

How do you know they turn off when you floor it? Driving only? Or Parked and reved?

Power is from the battery. Ground is on the firewall. They only seem to go out when driving. Foglights are hooked up like all aftermarket instalations say.

How do you know they go out when your driving. Do you not see the light or do you have someone in the road watching. If your front end tilts way up, you may just not see the beams

My fogs light up a lot more of the road and the sides of the road. When they go out you can notice.

I'd have to say just check all your connections... with your lights on, and car on for that matter.... wiggle all the connections and make sure that they are good... heck have someone rev the motor while your at it....

About the LED's not being able to run at the same time I call :bs: Most L.E.D's take up 20-35 MILI amps.... From what I remember ( for compairison matters ) a 1156/3156 takes about 2.1 ish amps... and we're talking MILI-amps....

Yes LEDs do produce heat.... but not significantly enough to cause a fire hazard over your H3's already burning heat of around 400 F Correct me if I'm wrong...

Not saying that I Know more than the other members, but If you need help wiring up your foglights let me know/PM/E-mail me... I enjoy DC wiring :salute: ... I can also help you splice into your factory switch ... AND have the switch be on whith only your parking lights... there's a write up on that on here too if you get ambitious...

Ok

Thats cool. I can have my fogs on with or without the lights on. I will go check the connections when the rain stops comming down. As far as the overheating and fire hazard that is just what it said in the instructions. Thanks, Ed
