This 92 SHO I'm going to be purchasing has like an Alpine deck or some aftermarket one. Now the buttons to the right of the steering wheel for the radio, memory, etc don't work which I figured. Neither does the power antenna. Wait do 92's have a power antenna switch like Gen I's or not I shoulda looked more carefully. Anyway my question is I'm going to take it out and put my Sony deck in so is there anyway I can get the buttons to still function with the new deck or not. Can I also wire the power antenna to still work? Do I just hook up the power antenna wire?

Yes you can make the antenna work. Hopefully the owner used a wire harness to hook up the wires. Just connect the right wire and you are set. It may just be that the antenna is not working and you will need a new one.

The buttons though will not work. There is a unit that will allow you to sue them but your unit has to be able to use a remote. It is also expensive. SHOnuff93 makes a replacment for the buttons so htat you can use it to control other things. They look very nice. if you need some extra buttons talk to him.

What are the different decks, if I may ask? You might just want to keep that Alpine if it isn't too old.

The Alpine will most likely go in my dad's Crown Vic. I have a full Sony Xplod system due to the fact the factory outlet is by me so the Sony deck is going in.

Forget that then, just seems pointless for them to be there and do nothing. It will drive me nuts. What other things can you have them do? I dont need extra buttons mine are fine or are his different.

His are different. You can use them to turn off and on other iteams that you may want. I will be using one probably for turning off and on the fish tank lights.
