I just became a member a few minutes ago. There's a few things i would like to ask. 1) how do i insert my list of vehicles that i have or had owned? 2) if i can get my hands on a sho engine which i know is very hard to do, but i would like to, i am thinking of installing one in my 95 aerostar. It has the vulcan engine a.k.a 3.slow and i was thinking about it. Not trying to make a race van but i think it would wake it up a little bit. What would be entailed in this setup. Yes i would like to keep it an automatic so my wife can drive it. Would i have to reroute my accessory drive a/c p/s etc and would i have to go to a stand alone wiring setup or could i use the engine harness/pcm or even use the factory van harness yet install the engine and pcm. This may be me being stupid but im trying to get ideas so this future project can be a success instead of a flop. The van is in good shape andbi thought it would be cool to have something unique. Another forum that im on another member gave me an idea of doing that because i guess that it hasnt been done yet. I would like to attempt this, so all advice except junking the van would greatly be appreciated. Thank Brian

there are a number of threads here on the forum dedicated to installing the SHO motor in various rwd platforms. start by reading all of those - it will give you a pretty clear understanding of the scope of the project. then, you can ask specific questions.

Left-click on Quick Links, then the Edit Signature link inside the User Control Panel. Update your signature with list of vehicles, and Save Signature.

The 3.0 Aerostar trans will bolt up but there is some mods for it. There is a place or 2 that needs a grinder taken to it. Also would have to redrill the flex plate for SHO bolt pattern. Need a earlier SHO trans that is not electronic for the 4th gear. There is a mod using a pressure switch to get around that [I hope so I also got wrong trans]
Totally unknow how anything else would fit the Aerostar body. Just remember the head hangs over the trans. That cause me a major grief in my install. My pictures if helps. Maurice
