I am completely redoing my heads and such but I don't have any tools to check for what shims i need.I was wondering if i took my cams off and everything and put everything back into my 3.2L heads the way it came out of my 3.0L heads would everything still be in spec? or would i have to redo the shims and everything?

Yes, the gaps must be measured and set after all the gear has been bolted into its final location. Before that would be time spent with no value (i.e. wasted).

In some cases if the engine has been well maintained (ie oil changed) you can flip the shims to get the valve back into spec, since wear mostly occurs on the top side of the shim, not the cam lobe.
