More a sign of the bad geometry of the Gen 1 & 2 SHO which contributes to extreme front end dive.

Good point Paul. My rear (stockish) brake pads are wearing considerably more now with the Gen III front subframe upgrade that the NESHO folks welded up for me - so much less brake dive = bias valve stays open = more braking from the rear.

Eric I just don't see how no rear brakes at all can possibly improve laptimes - zak

I've been wondering about that. The anti-dive geometry doesn't change the physics of weight transfer (the c.g. is just as high, you're still slowing down just as much), it does prevent the geometry changes associated with the dive, though. Maybe the better camber keeps the rear tires gripping a little better, and the bias valve doesn't kick in.

I don't think it is, the point was just that it's not hurting much if at all. I think the improved lap times are due to other things I've done during the time the ABS and rear brakes have been off.

I should have mentioned I too have a gen III subframe now, but have only run 2 track events since I got it. Thanks for the heads up Paul, I guess I'll actually check the rears. lol

I have had the larger rear brakes for about a year now, and I am just now getting around to putting some 13's on the front. I have felt very little difference in my day to day driving, and haven't had to do an panic stopping, or tests. I upgraded because I knew I was going to be doing 13's eventually, and all the parts were free :)

and did I mention it looks a lot better?
