Does anyone know if the sensitivity of the Ford factory alarm can be altered for when the car gets bumped or rocked? I'm actually asking for my friends '96 Explorer but I imagine it's very similar our gen II SHO (model 600?).
If so where would it be located?
Thanks.

Yes the motion/shock sensor can be adjusted. It can't be more than about 2 feet from the brain cause thats all ford gave for wiring length. Its a small black box with a small white adjustment **** coming from the corner/side I'll try to get a pick asap.

Is the ford factory alarm an option and how can I tell if I have it? I got no info when I bought this thing and got the valet keys, with the keyless entry door and keychain buttons!

Look under the hood for the siren. If no siren no alarm. Yes it is an option I just picked up one from greenleaf, they sale off ford stuff from ford facilities that close/go under. It hooks up and works with the keyless entry system.
