Hi all,

I was curious if anyone can comment further on what all is required to add a CD changer to an SHO that did not come with one. I see someone has a special trunk liner on eBay?

My brother pulled a changer, with magazine and cable(s) at a yard. Is this supposed to be a fairly easy plug and play deal?

Also, the woofer in my passenger door is making noise. Are suitable replacements available, or would a pull be worth bothering with? I know the originals in the Gen II are still holding on after all this time and I was wondering if it was a fluke that one has failed.

Thanks!

IIRC you need the amp also to make the changer work. It plugs in there also and the one you currently have I don't believe it does. Or maybe I'm thinking about the '96s middle sub. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I just had a brain fart all the sudden.:nut:

The RCU should be the same, I believe. You would need the corresponding cable. It is simple if you ahve those two items.

Going by memory ... been 3 years sice I looked at a Gen III setup.

I went ahead and tried the changer over the weekend, since the weather was nice. It plugged in and interfaced right to the radio, so I think it does work. I wish I knew that the trunk cover/trim panel was part of the necessary parts, as I would have had my brother pull that with the changer.

I may decide to go with the pull currently on eBay, and I'll finally have a way to play music :)
