Rear bank, exhaust cam went. Ford dealer quoted me $3200 to fix. They said they have the tool to pin the cam but ford does not recomend it. They did say they would loctite it though. What should I do?

I'll be a nice guy...
contact Kirk Doucette. He could drop you in a cam-welded motor for that price, if not cheaper????
He lives in MA.

Even if that dealer comes in at their quoted price, you're still going to have unwelded cams subject to failure. I wouldn't trust the Loctite or pinning, and honestly I wouldn't trust a dealer who didn't have tons of experience repairing cam failure motors.

If it is not too far gone, you may be able to replace the head, then get the cams welded ASAP! I bought my car from Kirk as a Cam failure he fixed and it runs perfectly fine.
