Wanted to just make a quick (aka, LONG) video of the install process. Going on an Explorer but the process is the same for the SHO. It's really very easy and straight forward. Even with all the unedited parts where I'm away from the cam, the video was still only 30 minutes, so install time on these is actually even less. Oh, and please disregard the wooden block. I thought, for some reason, the trans would drop a bit and was just playing it safe with some blocking. Anyway, turned out it doesn't budge and I didn't need it...

Those of you looking to scoop up a set of these may find it difficult to locate. Well, he only sells them direct and doesn't have much of an online presence. You either have to contact him via email: [email protected] or through his Instagram page Anthony DiCunzolo.

Good stuff. How do you like the mounts? Did you adjust the RPM +100 on the idle and in gear idle? If you didn't, it makes a big difference.

No I hadn't gotten around to it yet, but was gonna get to it here soon. I'd thought about it but wanted to see how it felt and performed without doing it initially, so I can get a firm "before and after" impression.

I hear you. Give them a couple hundred miles worth of break in.

My favorite physical mod for these cars! They changed the dynamic of my SHO. Have you done any solid 1-2 shifts yet?

Yup, I've had them on for some time now, just haven't gotten around to uploading the video til recently. It was pretty exciting because I noticed the difference literally the instant I cranked the engine over...it really does feel like a brand new car.

I was speaking with Anthony afterwards and he started telling me about a better OEM upper trans-mount (the one under the battery) that was used on 2016 and up explorers (not sure how that translates to the SHO, but it's likely the same) he said felt a bit more firm than the previous versions, so I went and purchased it. Haven't installed it yet so not sure how much better it is.

Tasca shows the same part # for upper trans mount between’14 and ‘17 SHO. And, different part # all together for explorer.

Those vehicles are so similar, I can't imagine it being any different for the installation location and bolt pattern.

I think one of the reasons they redid the explorer was because the SHO platform held it back. I mean the new one(ST) has all the upgrades you would want on the SHO... And it gets to wear the performance badge.

So, was changing out the mounts tonight, front went in easy peezy, however rear seem to be blocked by downpipes. Was going to watch the video but saw it was no longer up. I may be missing something as with car jacked up on (small) stands I have only a few inches to look around, **** front tires are still touching the ground . Going to save the rear for the weekend, but am I going to have to drop the downpipes, or am I an idiot that's missing something obvious?

You do not need to drop the pipes.

Was giving it another go today, and running into same issue. Thinking main source of the issue is the exhaust wrap, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Was going to pull this bolt above the trans mount to see if it gave me any wiggle room but figured I would confirm with yall before moving forward.

the wrap might make it tough. you might be able to put a floor jack on the trans and lift it up just a bit and the mounts will move but undo the other bolt first.

Has anyone confirmed the fitment of this mount on the SHO?
