Try coming on the throttle a little easier. I find my car noticably quicker if I progressively apply the throttle, rather than just floor it right off the bat.

It could be you have a vacuum leak causing the secondries to stay open.If you open the hood and rev the engine to 5k,you should see the butterfly shaft move.

That sounds like the throttle tip-in problem from a bad throttle position sensor. It behaves the came as a carburetor when the accelerator pump quits working.
