I just put a new compressor on my car and flushed out all of the lines. The system blows cold air at about 42 to 44 degrees Farenheight. One thing I noticed when starting out in first gear especially, and others as well, is that it almost feels like the compressor cycles on and off for a second at like steady to light throttle. You know how you turn on the AC and the rpms drop momentarily? Or you turn off the AC and the rpms do the same thing? Or how about if you drive and turn the AC on and off how you can feel the load come on and off as well? That is how it feels. One thing that I didn't do yet was reset the idle procedure. I had the lines flushed because I didn't have the equipment after I installed the compressor. I am almost positive the mechanic had no idea what the IAB setting procedure was. Any ideas? Does yours do the same thing? Is this normal?

Go ahead and do the idle programming reset. It might help and it's free. Scott Patterson (sdpatt) has posted it numerous times lately. Use the SEARCH button to find it.

This might be a 'feature' that you will have to learn to live with.
