One of the AC parts sites SHOws a different AC compressor for the 95MTX, the FX15, than the '89 SHO. Is that correct? I thought all the SHOs used the Nippondenso compressor. If they are different, does anyone know if one is better than the other? According to my shop manual, the FX15 has more capacity.

the 89 compressor was built for use with R-12 refrigerant. The 95 was made already for the 134a refrigerant. I'm not sure when they switched over, but the different compressor signifies the different intended refrigerants.

Actually, no.

The 89-94 all use the same 10P15F compressor. The 94s used R134 from the factory as did some late year production 93s.

The 95 uses the other compressor.
