Can you do this yourself? If so, how does it work?
(I am referring to the red box... exact opposite of the EEC tester... behind the driver side strut tower)

DK,

This is one job best left to a dealership service department. If you want to bleed the ABS, as a part of a total brake system bleed, take your car to a dealer.

Have them do the ABS bleeding proceedure after you have bled all the lines. Take along a quart of the brake fluid of your choice. You will pay for about one hour of labor, $70 to $100.

If you are having some other problem with the system start with the sensors, rings, connections, etc. If you need to access the computer, re the ABS, have a dealer do it, unless you can get access to an ABS scanner (borrow).

None of the manufacturers of the "scan tools" will sell a scanner to access the ABS system to the "do-it-yourselfer", because of legal liability.

The scanner is not impossible to get, but it will be very expensive. Most of us cannot justify the cost for a tool that is not used very often. Hope this helps, rangerj
