Hey everyone,

So it's finally separating. The dash trim, from the upperside of the instrument panel. I was curious as to what kinda adhesive I can use on there. I know there was a TSB out for it, but I don't know the part number they suggested.

Also, I know many of you guys have repaired this issue. What methods did you use as far as applying pressure to the areas. What adhesives did you use, and what results did you achieve?

Paul Nimz, this is all you!! ;)

Thanks!

I used 3M Weatherstrip adhesive. It's been working for 2 years.
Same here, except mine's been working for 3 years. Chances are the dash pad has shrunk back a little bit, too, so there will still be a visible seam when you finish the repair. I used a bead of black silicone to cover the gap.

I tried to fix mine with the 3M closed cell foam tape (the really sticky grey stuff) and it held for a while but just this summer started to peel back again. Might have been installer head space rather than product failure though. I would like to put a whole new dash in it. It has scratched on the center from the little old lady who owned it before. I think she haulled lumber in it for bird houses or something.
