Went last weekend and did the negotiations, all I have to do is show up and sign the papers. I'll be getting a 2013 Tuxedo Black/Charcoal w/Mayan inserts with Performance package and 402A. Dealership is selling it to me for $1000 less than X-plan plus all incentives, $37K plus tax title, etc.

Here are a few pics:

I do have a couple questions. I'm thinking about getting winter rubber, has anyone put snow tires on the SHO wheels? Also, will 18 or 19" wheels fit over the PP brakes? What are the dimensions of the PP brakes? Are they larger rotors, better pistons, or ??? I was thinking about looking for takeoff regular Taurus wheels for winter driving.

Thanks for looking! Hoping to be a regular member shortly!

Welcome. This is a great site, but not so much geared towrds the current generation crowd. Not a criticism, just my observations. That may be why you have not gotten any responses to your post.

Price seems high to me if you ask me. I bought mine in January and I got just shy of $10k off a 47,450 stickered SHO. The 14's are out....they can deal more.

I have a set of extra wheels and put Pirelli Scorpion snow and ice tires on them.

Yes 18 and 19 inch wheels will fit. You will have to have the car programmed for the proper sized tire if you want the speedo to be accurate.

There are a lot of people that have put winter tires on both PP and non-PP cars. The calipers/rotors are the same for both, just more performance oriented brake pads on the PP cars. 18 or 19" wheels will fit on the front. The spare on my 2013 non-PP is an 18". I'm guessing any 18 or 19" wheel from a regular 10-14 Taurus would fit.

Rotors were upsized slightly on the '13's, as was the braking entire system redesigned from the '10-'12 model years.

I've got a '10 without the PP. I put 18" wheels on with 225 60R18 Blizzaks on. Those tires where the exact same revs/mile as the Michelins that came on the car.

Picked her up last night!!! Anderson Ford in Rockford, IL was awesome! I was in and out of there in less than an hour, after dealing with their finance guy on the phone in regards to loan rates, warranty. etc. Paul, my salesman, was very thorough and answered all my questions, and I had many! Pricing was more than fair with me buying the car for $36K plus tax, title, etc. I even came up with some killer vanity plates!!! Can't wait for those to come in! Anyway, here are a couple pics with me and my boys:

I love how Tuxedo black looks green in direct light! INCREDIBLE!
