Hey guys need some help. Just put on some new front pads on my 92 MTX. Now the pedal in spongy. I didn't remove any of the lines. I bled the fronts and got only fluid. Is it possible the master cylinder went bad when I pushed the front caliper cylinders in. I didn't need this right before convention week.

Spongy pedal means there is air in the lines.

A full flush of the brake lines should definitely fix it.

Could be air in the lines or just spongy pads. What pads did you install? You know that you don't need to bleed the brakes just to install new pads don't you? Just press the pistons back in with a C-clamp or caliper spreader. The fluid goes back to the reservoir. The rear pistons must be turned in with the proper adapter tool.
