Seeing that Gen 2 (and gen 3 for that matter) fit into a Gen 1, i would say the same goes for the opposite.

now why would you want to get rid of the awesome gen 2 seats with the bolsters and lumbar?

I'm pretty sure they'll mount, but will the harness connectors match up, if power seats?

(1) Yes, they'll fit.
(2) Gen 1 seats and bolsters ABSOLUTELY PWN Gen 2 seats and bolsters.

For the record... What makes G1 seats so much better than the G2? Granted, they have the perforated leather but what else?

Double pleat down the middle of the seat, GIANT side bolsters, when compared to genII. I think they grab you better...

I guess I never noticed the differences. Could some post some comparo pics?
I do know that the lumbar on old gen 2's sometimes doesn't hold air for too long and you have to keep adjusting it if you want a lot of lumbar.

the Gen 1 bolsters aren't curved outward. When fully inflated, they create a "wall" of support. Ain't no slippin past them!

As for the Gen 2 to Gen 1 conversion, make sure you grab the rear deck off the Gen 1 as the seats contour it differently then the Gen 2 deck. (the deck is raised in the headrest area). Also, hold onto your Gen 2 center console. The Battleship Gen 1 consoles are rather... useless.
