I was watching "Knight Rider" today (Don't front, y'all... You love that show, too...) and got to thinkin' about KITT's accelerator pedal. I don't think I'd ever do it myself, but has anyone ever considered putting LEDs on the pedal that "increase" as you push the accelerator down? Indeed, has anyone ever seen this on a car? Just curious...

It wouldn't be too hard to do, you could pull voltage from the TPS to power the LED.

The other KITT mod i was thinking about was the LED on the front that goes back and forth, that would be funny on a SHO

It would be kinda pointless since your foot would be on the pedal and blocking the lights. Unless of course you had auto pilot too. Hmm... super pursuit mode and turbo boost, I wish I could have them on the SHO.

The TPS may not be able to supply the power for the LEDs, so you'd probably want to use a FET to keep the load off it, and then you'll need a mirco-controller to take the reading from the TPS (via the FET) and convert that into a way to trigger the LEDs.

a KITT Kit ( ) is availible lots of places, but it would be MUCH cheaper to make yourself.
