Ok... I have the 3.2L ATX, and when on the highway I recently noticed something that seems out of the ordinary. If I'm cruising along at 70mph or so, and take my foot off the gas it seems as if the car is very lightly engine braking? The speedo starts dropping quicker than normal "Even going down a hill" instead of just rolling along like it used to. I don't believe I have a caliper sticking, because from a dead stop if I take my foot off the brake the car will go forward slowly without pushing the gas. Anyone else ever experience this? I'm puzzled...

this might be completly wrong but when i first bought my car it was doing the same thing.it would just slow down as if it had alot of wind resistance or if like i was slightly on the brakes. but when i stop and let go of the gas my car would move just fine with out me giving it gas. but then i checked out my back brakes and they were in need of changing. they were metal to metal. i would say if ure case is the same as mine just take a quick look at all your brakes to make sure they are all fine. then i would check to make sure i have proper air in all tires. then after that then i dont know.

Well, It has been above average wind around here the past couple days. Maybe that is why the car isn't rolling as much. I'm hoping that is all it is!!

Turn around and go the other way! Then you'll have a tailwind!

Seriously, if you car is in overdrive, there should be minimal engine braking.

Run it gently through the gears and make sure the OD is engaging. You should feel the tranny shift from first to second to third, then OD with a corresponding change in the tach at each shift point.

As I recall, you also recently expressed concern about your rear brakes needing to be done. If they haven't ben take care of, put them on top of your list.
