The Knocking/Tapping in my car has got worse. It is extremly Audible when you stick your head underneath the car. I had planned to go up to paul and ashley's at the begining of Sept to do my rod bearings but I don't think I can risk that now for fear of the engine letting go.

Here's the deal. My base has a Auto hobby shop that has lift and every tool imaginable in a Air Conditioned garage. If somone would be willing to come down that knows how to change rod bearings here in Fayetteville I would pay you for your services.

Thank you!

rod bearings

sorry to hear that. you are above my pay grade on this repair.

Paul/Ashley would be a good choice, maybe get the car towed (UHaul, car trailer, low $$ option). Then you would just need a lift back.

Also, I think there may be someone in Lumberton who has worked on SHOs... will see if I can dig up the contact. Might be closer to you for tow option.

i mean if you have the tools to do it, and a place to do it, and don't mind throwing in some gas $$, we would be glad to come there and do the job. air tools (do you have air stuff??) make it especially easy (which is why we wanted you to come here)...but if you have all that, then we can come there and do it, we may need to stay the weekend, but that is up to you..let me know or shoot me a pm okay?

ashley

PS. it is only a 3 1/2 hr drive as well, so really we are a good close contact for you to have work done :) we are driving 3 1/2 hrs just to go to the BBQ on the 6th in chapell hill!
