Well, looking for my A/C leak and I was staring at the condensor.. On the passenger side near the bottom it looked like I was missing one of the U-shaped tubes on the end.. Is this normal?? I was figuring Ford is cheap (well thats a given), but on second thought if it somehow fell off or rusted off that might be my loss of coolant... Thoughts? rant

You might want to take a closer look. I seriously doubt that an entire tube end would fall off. A small pinhole leak maybe.

Poissonverte,

I can't tell from your picture what you think the problem is. There does not appear to be a leak in the corner of the condenser you photographed.

Did you find any oil leaking from the corner? Oil circulates with the refrigerant. Any place you develope a leak you will find some oil.

Refrigerant oil is a very "fine" oil. It readily attracts dirt, so that the place of the leak becomes an oily black spot.

If you suspect the condenser is leaking, pull it and take it to a shop and have it pressure tested.

I guess the absence of oil would dictate that its not leaking at that hole. it just looks like a connector between the condensor and the tube running up is missing, but it must come like that from the manufacturer.. Ill continue my quest.. thanks!! thumbup
