Around 45-55 psi ascending to close the cycling switch.

Cycling is determentine by system pressures, not by the weight of the refrigerant.

ok thanks, I know I have a little less than a pound of freon in my system, and I think it hold 3 pounds. Is there a cheap way to test the psi??

it doesnt kick on and off right away constantly does it? and there is a cheap way but you wont get a very accurate reading unless you have a hook up with sombody who has these tools.
