So I've had my car for about a year now, and I live in Az, so were already into our next summer (a nice and hot one... whew) and my SHO has no A/C. Now by that I meen it TURNS ON, and it blows air out, but I can't make it cold! (Or hot for that matter... during the winter). If it does get hot or cold, its only for a little bit, and then it lowers (or raises) itself to a nuetral luke-warm temperature. (Usually in about... oh 30 seconds)

This all happens regardless of what setting I put the climate control on, or what temperature I try to set it to.

The guy I bought my SHO from said I needed a new "computer". I don't think he knew what he was talking about... cus I think if the computer was broken I would be having more problems then just A/C issues. Or am I wrong? *shrug*

Someone help! I'm dehydrating!! haha

*edit* By the way, I apologize if this was posted before or something, or if I'm asking a dumb question and I should know the answer... haha but I'm purty stupid when it comes to cars. :)

The AC might just be in need of a recharge, but since you mentioned that the heat was not functioning correctly in the winter as well, it sounds like your blend door actuator has crapped out (sucks!). It's buried deep in your dash, and shops will charge big bucks due to all the labor involved.

Try running the EATC self test by pressing the OFF and FLOOR button simutaneously, and then the AUTOMATIC button with 2 seconds afterwards. An error code of 2 is the blend door code..but even if it showed 888 (no failures), it still sounds like a blend door problem..

..either that, or both your AC has crapped out and your heater core might be a little clogged up.
