I know this is a common problem with these cars from my limited knowledge on these boards, but what are some fixes available ? I feel like such a turkey asking a million questions in the last few weeks since buying this SHO, but there always has to be a new guy who will be informed and able to answer questions for the up coming new guys. I tried doing a search for past threads, but nothing exact came up. Thanks for all your help guys !

Are you talking about your EATC buttons being cracked? If so, you'll need to purchase a hard button EATC like that found in any 1995 SHO, or certain Lincolns. You can find them on ebay or post a wanted to buy ad here on the forum. You can find tons of info by using the search future (located to your upper right).

Good luck!

Wellll,

Following the lead (not my idea, but I'll share it) from someone here, I cut electrical tape to fit right over them. I think it looks good- nobody knows unless they really look.

Obviously you cannot read them, but what the heck- I know what they are, really never use them, and looks a LOT better at night without them.

I don't know if anyone else tried this: I created (MS paint) image of the label and printed it out on plastic transparency. Took a while to get it the right size (I may have too much time on my hands). Also, used another picture editor and reversed the image so it had a black background and clear letters. Then I carefully super glued the label on. But if it’s easier to just replace the buttons, that’s probably the way to go, if you can find them.

I was under the impression that you can fill the back side of the buttons that are still good with epoxy to keep them from cracking further. I wish I could find a parts EATC or two, and do this for the '94. Most of its buttons are in decent shape, save the mostly destroyed VENT button and a few that have hairline cracks. It seems like a lot of the VENT buttons are shot shrug
