you need the a/c tool that will expand the garter springs on the lines so they will slide off.

Are you sure you want to tackle this? I'm regretting it; I didn't replace the condenser, but I am replacing my liquid line, accumulator, and the associated o-rings (including those on the condenser) because 1. I have a leak somewhere that's difficult to determine. 2. These lines looked old, rusty, and crusty anyway. The line on the bottom where the accumulator connects is the largest PITA. It's prone to more corrosion and getting stuck on there because it's on the bottom and exposed more to the elements of the road. It took 3 afternoons after work, a half a can of BP blaster, and alot of sore muscles to work it loose. Now the line does not want to slide all the way onto the new accumulator.

Oh and I forgot to oil the stupid accumulator when I put it on. When I take it to the shop to vac and recharge, I may have them add an oz. or 2 of oil to the system.

Lol I'm way on the other side of the US to buy a Cali car but i just put everything back together and changed the radiator fluid while I had it off buuuuut, I'm just going to have someone do it for me and add some of that repair stuff in a can but after its done if it leaks again I'm going to look for the leak with a black light and if i can't find it I'm just going to buy the tools and replace all of the o'rings. The condenser looks fine and my lines do look bad but don't think there is a leak in there idk I hope not because thats going to be a pain to replace those but change the o'rings and have it charged again and see where it goes from there... But another problem, after I put it all back together and replaced the radiator fliud 100% coolant and filled the rest with water so I'm probably at 70/30, the car according to the gauge now runs colder!!! Any thought on that?
