my car was smoking today from underneath my battery today. I think that it was my a/c compressor from the advice that i had gotten today. I'm guessing that the hissing sound i'm hearing from underneath the car, and having hot air blow out of the a/c makes it the compressor leaking or somthing? i don't know. could it have been the compressor that was smoking and after it smoked, now it's hissing or am i completly off?
thanks...

I replied to your other post but since you id the area of the smoke sound like you ac clutch is gone. Did you happen to smell the smoke. If it was like hot brakes then your clutch is it. that would explain the whole hot air. You can get just a clutch but you will want to make sure that the compresser didn't freeze up and cause the clutch to smoke.

Pull the wire connection atop the compressor-this will prevent the clutch from engaging. Then you'll know if that's it.
