Hello all,
Havent posted here in a while but i was wonderin if anybody has removed the ac compressor completly out of the car and not have ac at all cause my battery was leakin acid and it all went on the pulleys and the compressor and all the lines and everything is all rusty now i never have used the ac before, but theni was looking at it ad it looks like the compressor is part of the bracket for the alternator. Now would there be an ac delete package.
Thanks for your help.

They make an a/c delete pulley and lots have gutted their a/c system. I, personally, would never and could never do it. It's way too hot where I live.

Oh and I've been to T-burg before. We have a roofing location right there in Courtland. Canadian farm country. :)

I hope you put the gutted compressor (or bypass pulley and re-inforcement block) back in there. I broke the engine mount bracket on an SHO because the previous owner had removed the compressor completely. The compressor is, with 100% certainty, a necessary part of that bracket's structural integrity.

That's a good point, I didn't even realize that until now, but i did remove the whole system out of my car before and it was kinda of a **** to line pulleys up and make sure tensioner doesn't move. I think ATX setup would've worked better in this case. But , yeah, bracket reainforcement is important though!
