I am installing a new aftermarket clutch (NAPA) on my 95 SHO. I am working with the compressor on the car and I have got the old clutch pulley removed.

I can't remove the circular clip holding in the field coil so I decided to leave it on. The coil looks OK and tests electrically OK (has resistance of 3 ohms).

And now the problem. I CANNOT get the circular clip that retains the pulley on. I have the correct pliers but I just can't do it. Does anybody have any tips????????????

The beveled side of the snap-ring should face outward (toward you) when it is installed correctly.
