I want to hook the A/C clutch to a switch so I dont have the A/C on when it doesnt need to be.

Where I live, a little cool air does the trick. I want to hook it to a switch so when it does get hot, I can flip the switch and the AC clutch turns on.

My questions:
Is it easier to pull the A/C control out if the dash and splice in there, or do I go under the hood?

What wire is responsible for turning on the A/C clutch.

EDIT: I have a 93 ATX

TIA
David

just splice into one of the wires on the a/c pressure switch located on the dryer under the hood.would be easer than getting at the wires on the compressor

I am not too familiar under the hood for the SHO as I have only owned it for a few weeks.

Can you point me in the general area?
