picked up 96 gl few weeks ago was driving fine than all of sudden it would not go over 4k without the car it just barely dying it would make sounds like all spark plug wires were barely touching? the if i let it sit it owuld be fine for while and start up again. i put new plugs and wires in it still does same problem i also cleaned throttle body out. i was told i might be the fuel filter as it tends to do it more when the gas is half tank or less but will still do it with full tank to but lot more with half or less i replaced fuel filter it was like rust color gas coming out. put new one on took it for spin it was like brand new car plenty of power over 4krpm then all of sudden it started doing same thing agian if i gently push pedal it will move fine but once i need power for hills or passing it just seems like its not getting proper gas. and info will be great thanks.
