I have a '95 MTX with Mocha leather seats. The rears are perfect. The fronts are cracked and showing black, as I am sure most 12 year old cars are now.

Anyone out there know where I can either get someone to do a new leather upholstery job on my seats or where I could find the proper leather covering in a kit to do it myself. I just can’t handle the slip over seat covers. I think they look so cheesy.

Any help would much appreciated.

Have a great day

I read somewhere that Katzkin makes a kit for the gen II. Might want to check them out. Otherwise...trim $hop.

I had the leather panels in my driver's seat replaced at an upolstery shop for about $75.

Thanks for the info. One thing I am not sure about is that both the trim shop and Katzkin list '93 and '94 SHO but no mention of '95. From all I have read, I thought that the Gen II would all be the same.

Does anyone know if there is a difference between '95 and the earlier Gen II front seats? Mine are the full electric with the air pump to puff up the lumbar and sides of the seat.

Take it to a car upholstery shop and get a quote. Then compare to Katzkins and your own labor.

How good did it look? Could you tell the difference from original panels?

Just like the originals, but with a higher quality of leather.
