my atx after aggressive driving or steady high speed driving, constant stop and go traffic the check engine light comes on and the sho starts to act sluggish and you have to punch the gas pedel to get power out of it. I went to the dealer who is sort of a friend he told that when he read the code it brought up coil 1 and coil 3 and a possible o2 malfunction. I was told that maybe i need a new coil pack b\c the cylinders 1 and 3 are cutting out during this time. Is that possible? and i already replaced one o2 and i don't think the other o2 is causing this.
please help i don't want to waste any money.

What is the milage of the SHO? Has it had its 60K or 100K. I personally would check to see if there is oil/water in the plug wells, the wires (if they are old, they would give a reading that the coil was kaput!) As for O2 sensors, its best to replace both at the same time. They do not last forever and that might also cause the problem. The new one is reading a lot faster than the old one so when you do a little hot rodding, the readings don't match so CEL comes on.
