well ive been noticing for the past week or so that its gotten slower and slower to start my sho tonight at my grandparents house it was running to warm up but then i turned it off and went back outside turned the key lights came on dash lights everything normal. turned the key to start it and the motor started to turn over and then just stoped and all i got was a wine from the starter so i had to jumped/poped the clutch to start it to my surprise it worked
and ive noticed a weird noise comming from the starter i would know how to discribe it.. it just doesnt sound like it did then i got it.. anyway ive got it home now turned it off started it right back up still slow but fired right up.. im thinking the alt might be bad cuz when i down shift the battery light flashes sometimes stays on untill its started speeding up again plus the battery light flashes in reverse also.. im hoping its not the starter cuz i dont have any way to get the front of the car in the air at this point due to another project of mine that i need help with just cant find any one to help..... would anybody secon me on the alt probably failing? or is this going to be a starter problem.. but plz dont tell me both. i dont have the time or money for both...
ok forgot about the clutch thing... after i jumped/poped the clutch tonight it felt really loose and sloppy. plus the clutch makes a sound like its got air in it or somethen.. it makes like a weird sound like a creeking sound and i dont know what could be causeing it.
