For quite a while my father and I thought that the issue with my car was ignition related per this post a few weeks back:

https://shoforum.com/index.php?threads/94-mtx-no-spark.140493/

Sense then he tested it with a fuel pressure gauge (40psi at the rail) and a noid light at the injectors and did not get a signal while cranking. It seems as though the most likely, though not that likely, culprit is the ECM. Second would be a bad ground and after that I haven't seen much that fits our scenario. Any other probable causes we should explore prior to getting a new ECU?

A little history, the car is a 3.2 swap with 45k post swap. The engine was basically rebuilt save for pistons and rings during the sway. The 3.2 injectors were cleaned and used. The chassis and ECU have about 220k on them.

Thanks in advance.

I would look for an Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual (EVTM) on E-bay, for the 1994 Taurus.

They are usually under $20.00 if you don't want museum quality .

It will show you which grounds are associated with the system you are exploring, the location of the grounds, and the pins that are responsible for the signal you fear you are missing.

When you get values on the pins that are associated with the circuits you are investigating, you can seek help on this forum to determine what the actual issues are.

I had non firing injectors in the past. I found faulty grounds associated with the CCRM, which also affects the ECU.
Check all grounds, there is more then one.
The injectors should have constant voltage, the ECU closes ground to fire injector.
