my daughters taurus windshield wipers do not work, is there a relay or fuse that controls them. they are variable speed wipers.

Either just the switch on the column, or the motor itself.. I don't recall there being a relay or anything.

try cleaning the contacts on the multiswitch see if that helps out

my friends daughters car did the same thing,i ended up just putting in a new wiper motor! unplug the motor and turn on the wipers check the leads with a volt meter n see if you are getting juice to the motor.if not it is the 3 way switch but before you do all this look in the owners man.in the glove box under fuses(i think its page 178) if the fuse is blown
