Greetings all!
I have been pouring over the forum for a couple of days & I still can't fiqure out my problem.
I sold one of my SHO's on Friday the 13th ( maybe that's the problem!) and 4 hours later, the lady called & said it wouldn't start. The car ran fine all the time I drove it, she parked it, came back out & nothing but spinning like it was out of fuel.
I dropped tank today & put in new fuel pump, old one tested good. Here's details: 1. Won't pull codes when I jumper harness, no light at all.
2. I jumpered wire from battery to inertia switch harness, pump comes on, still no start.
3. battery post + is only inch or two from alternator bracket & not tied down & has top post adapter... could a momentary touch blow ECU?

Help! will try some more tests later today on grounds & fusible links

If your CEL doesn't work, you've most likely lost power to the PCM.

If the PCM doesn't have power, it will NEVER turn the fuel pump on, etc.

Time to think of it as a computer system - what must work first in order to other items to work.

Check the PCM fuse (10A, IIRC) in the box under the hood. If blown, unplug the coolant recovery tank sensor before replacing the fuse. Some idiot at Ford put that sensor on the same circuit that runs the PCM. When the sensor fails (shorts), it kills the computer and the whole engine.

Worked like a charm!

Thanks a lot!, after changing fuel pump, swapping computer, changing both boxes on top of radiator, jumpering wires.... it ended up being a little fuse.
I hope this thread helps all with similar problems.
