Well I have been looking for a new style bumper for the ol' SHO to update the look alittle. Awhile ago one of our Forum members installed a mustang bumper, albeit an ugly one on the front of his Yellow Gen2. Now I didn't care for the look but I did care that the mustang and SHO share simliar bumper mounting points and widths.
I have seen some really nice 94-98 mustang front bumpers that keep the same rounded style but have larger openings for foglights and cooling. I want to see if anybody has access to a Gen2 and a 94-98 stock or aftermarket mustang bumper.

Here are some examples.
This is a Saleen knock off

Here's a cool one from Xenon

The stock cobra bumper would be nice too if trimmed proppery.

With a little mods you can make them fit, but remember what may look good on a mustang may not look good on a SHO the body lines are way different and my personal opinion is that it will turn out looks like a ricer.DSCF0086

With the right trimming and fitment and using the OE headlights I think they would matchup pretty well. It wouldn't look like a ricer. I Don't like the look of the whole New Edge mustang on the old Taurus body. The new mustang is edgy and the Taurus is rounded. Thats why I suggested the SN-95 94-98. You can get creative with the grill area to keep it from loking too Stangish.Maybe fitting a Gen1 grill over it might conceal it better or something. We have to face the fact that The aftermarket is not going to embrace our cars for things like body kits.
