94/95 Knuckle difference?

I'm gathering parts for the 96 brake upgrade for my 93. I ordered a pair of spindles w/abs from a junkyard that are coming off a 95 Taurus. I told them it could come off either a 94 or 95 Taurus/Sable. Odd thing is, at two different junkyards they came up under two different listings. Is there some minor difference between the two years that causes two different listings? Mine are listed as 95 only.

On my recepit , the spindles came up as 08/94 RH,LH EXC. SHO KNU,HUB,ROT (knuckle, hub, rotor I assume). Not sure why it came up with EXC. SHO, unless it relates to the rotor that's coming with it.

One last question. I'm planning on installing Eibachs/Tokicos, do the 96 brake upgrade and install TRW control arms and moog everything else. I was thinking this would be easier to do all at once rather than in sections.
Your thoughts? I'm hoping to get it all accomplished over a weekend. Too much at once?

Is all the Moog stuff TPR?

You have to remove the knuckle from the strut to replace the struts, so I would do it all at once. With all the parts in hand, a beginner/novice could do it in <6 hours.

I don't know if all Moog is TPR.

6 hours? A novice who has any mechanical ability can easily do both sides in 3 hours or less taking bathroom and soda breaks in between!

Maybe you missed the "less than" sign. Some of that is all dependent on how well the old parts come off.

You might of gotten ones that didnt have ABS, you need ABS ones. I would check to see if it has the location for the ABS sensor.

Tom, I'm pretty sure they made some without ABS as IIRC, I found some in the JY that I didn't check before taking them off and later (before purchasing) found they did not have spots for the sensors.

I think all SHOs had ABS in 94/95, but not all Taurii.

90+ SHO's all had ABS.

Tom, only the SHO had ABS standard. It was an option on the Taurus and Sables. It was even optional on the Taurus SE in 1995. Ask Mario aka SilverKnight about bedding the EBC Green pads in on his non-ABS 1995 Taurus SE complete with the Highmiler Squealmaster Xtreeme All Season Radials.

Does the shield provide any benefit for the daily driver? I really don't see the track in her future, just spirited street driving.

Can't wait to ditch my recurring warped 10.2's and put some 11.6's on. The extra mass should be tons better than what I have now. I'm also going with open spoked rims.

If you are going to be working alone without air tools, and if the suspension has never been touched before, then personally I'd set aside a weekend to do the job.
