I want to do the 94-95 brake upgrade on my '89 SHO. I was wondering if any one knew what parts I need to do it and what cars I should get them from.
Also can I do the '96 upgrade after the 94-95 upgrade. Or is it better to do it at the same time? What is involved in that? (upgrading from the 94-95 to the 96).

ok, this is what you need:
spindles from a 94-95 SHO/SLO (I can get 2 SLO calipers w/o ABS for you probabl;y cheap)

P4382 Loaded caliper set with brackets from Autozone, for $73, I'd suggest returning your cores at another autozone, so they don't ask you why the calipers are different

2 94-95 SHO rotors.

and then you're all set!!!

If you want to do the 96 upgrade, all you'll need is caliper brackets from either a 96+ sho or 95+ continental, rotors from either, and pads for either.

Good luck!

What year is the P4382 Loaded caliper set for, 94-95? Is there a similar thing for getting the '96 calipers and brackets? Or are the calipers the same from 94-96+?

Is there a difference between the SHO and SLO rotors?

I'm thinking about getting the spindles from a 94-95 taurus at the junk yard. Then upgrading to the bigger '96 brakes.

Thanks,
Efren

as far as 95, there is no difference for rotors. The 95 rotors I'm running right now are off a GL. When you get 96+ you must use a SHO or continental rotor. The calipers are listed for 95 sho, 96+ SHO, and 95+ continental.

oh ya, and those calipers do not accept the 96 brake upgrade, so autozone listed them wrong. You need to get the new brackets, that's all, but that's either a dealer, vendor, or junkyard part.
