Back in Michigan ... again.
What kind of suspension you got on that car? I can't begin to tell you the difference I noticed (for the better) when I went to Eibach/KYBs or Eiback/Tokicos from old-and-busted stockers. Much easier to launch and the wheel hop was less of an issue, though when it did hop it felt like the front end was going to explode :nut:

And Tim  rev matching does nothing for the clutch. It's much better for your synchros because they have less work to do, but as long as that pedal goes in & out, rev-match all you want but it's still taking a toll on the clutch.

Unless of course you're talking about rev-matching and banging CLUTCHLESS shifts :naughty: I'm actually pretty good at that, though the MTX-IV is a difficult trans to master. In my old 91+ I'd usually clutch the 1-2, but then rev-match the rest of the upshifts without using the clutch. Clutchless downshifting is much harder; I could occasionally get down to 3rd, but the 3-2 always had me grinding. 2-1 however is a snap... just casually roll to a near-stop, foot off the gas and keep pressure on the stick trying to engage first. It should magically click in-without the clutch-at under 5mph. Of course, don't come to a complete stop once that happens :nut:

I couldn't do it fast, but clutchless shifting would always fascinate the kids who didn't think it could be done

lol my dad taught me that when i first started. i never thought i would have to use it but 2 years ago my tob went completely bad. so i had to do that everywhere and shut the car off at stoplights. the starter would actually push the car off the line. lol.

yeah I got up to 4th the other day without using the clutch on any shifts

I don't practice this very often, it puts wear on your transmission internals

I run this

20.5mm fsb, 26mm rsb
monroe sensatracs(I didn't put them on so they probably are worn out---I know the rears are not too great)
stock springs
asfb's
some kind of reinforced engine mounts from the PO... working good cause I haven't broken it yet lol

I just got my adjustable ingalls rear control arms in
next up is the rear TPR bushings, and a h-brace

i need the front moog crossmember repair kits for the tension rods, only one side is bad, but I think doing both will provide additional benefits, as well as put TPR bushings in all the spots, I have them on some locations but not all of them, I have an additional full set ready to go on when I get the repair kits

after that I will redo the strut mounts, sensatracs, and go with cut moog CC springs
