Is there any difference between the 1993 SHO stock brakes and the 194 & 1995 brakes? The reason I ask is I just was on Jegs website to order s.s. brake hose, and it is listed for 1994\1995 Taurus SHO. I just wanted to make sure that these would work on a 1993 SHO.

Tom,
I think the main difference is the knuckles used. To do a '96 upgrade on a '94/'95, you basically just need to get the bigger rotors and a caliper bracket. To do the upgrade on a '93 or earlier, you need to change the knuckles also. Whether this affects the brake lines or not, I don't know. You might want to call Jegs and ask to see what they say. I don't think the lines are any longer or shorter between the years. shrug

EDIT: I'm pretty sure SHONUT sells the stainless brake lines as well, and IIRC they don't have specific years listed.

not trying to sound like too much of a ******* here, but.................Rub on what? Just anything in general, or is there a particular problem point. Probably just anything in general.

the front lines might rub with the tires when u turn the steering wheel. just check it if after u do the swap. turn the wheels to the left and right and look under to see if they rub/touch....

Calipers changed in 94, which is when the pads/rotors changed as well. Basically everything changed, however, the brake hoses from 94/95 can be easily substituted for the older ones ..... so the steel braided lines whould work just fine... I'm assuming you are speaking of the ones from summit made by Earl's Performance Plumbing - yes they will fit - part number is 28B460

The threaded connector where the rubber/ss hose meets the chassis hard steel lines is supposed to be different. That's what I was told, I have not compared the two side by side to see exactly what the difference is.

Louis-I believe they were the Earls Performance Plumbing, but would have to go back and check. It was on the Jegs web catalog. I will have to also check out SHOshop.
