If you're looking for a very nice looking black/black 93 MTX, this is it. This is almost the stripper version; no moon roof, no keyless entry, no power passenger seat. It does have full leather, which is probably an 8/10. I have had this car for two years now and have been very happy with it (once I fixed everything and started driving it). I've been paring down my collection over the last year or so and this is the next one for sale. I had this car on the market a year ago, but I wasn't very confident in it's reliability so I took it off the market until I fixed it. Since I fixed it I've put 12k miles on it with no problems.

Pro's

Good paint - no rust (less than the usual wear and tear for a car of this mileage)
Great interior - no rips, tears, or smells (driver's seat is not ripped)
Good tires - almost new tires on almost mint slicers (THE BLACK TD PR2's ARE NOT FOR SALE WITH THE CAR)
Steering wheel is not torn or worn out - in great shape
AC blows COLD
Rear defroster works
Clutch is in good shape

Maintenance

Fully 60k'd
*water pump - $70
*crank sensor - $65
*timing belt - $30
*Ford front crank seal - $15
*rod bearings - $75
*Autolite platinum plugs - $26
*Valve cover gaskets - $75
*Three Ford cam seals - $10 ea
*Shim adjustment
*T-stat - $25
*Upper and lower radiator hoses - $40
*Oil pressure sender - $7
*Coolant temp sender - $7
*New battery - $95
*New belts - $40

TOTAL IN MAINTENANCE - $600

Mods

PnP intake runners - $190
BBB's - $200
K&N air filter - $40
SHOSource front and rear reinforced motor mounts - $260
SHOSource stainless steel catback exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers and tips - $800
SHOSource stainless steel catless equal length Y-pipe - $250
Stainless steel brake lines all the way around - $100
Super Blue brake fluid - $10
Tokico struts - $600
Eibach springs - $225
26mm rear sway bar
TPR in the rear only
Hard button EATC

TOTAL PRICE OF MODS - $2,675

Cons

*211k miles
*The rear package tray and center console are squeaky.
*The steering is kinda touchy.
*The engine needs a rear cam chain tensioner.
*The wiper motor doesn't work on HIGH. (will replace before sale)
*It seems to burn through a quart of oil every thousand miles or so. I think it's the valve stem seals. I've replaced just about every other gasket on the car. I've never left a pool of oil anywhere after the work was done which is why i think it's burning it, and most cars I've seen with over 200k or 15 years need the valve stem seals. (depending on what price I get for the car we may be able to work something out to have this done before the sale)
*The front strut bearings squeak.
*The decel button on the cruise doesn't work, but the rest of them do.

If you have any questions, please let me know. The car is currently my daily driver, and I drive 90 miles a day to and from work, so the mileage will go up until it sells.

Asking price is $2300

Thanks for looking.

the squeaky suspension noise, does it have ALSB also??
and you say AC is cold. what about the heat and "the core"....lol

Thanks, Kelvin. I thought I posted the mileage, but I guess I forgot. I added it to the listing above, but it's 209k miles.

shorangerbird, "cuz", the heater blows HOT and the heater core doesn't leak. I have no idea if it's original or not. I have a set of ALSFB's, but they are not on the car.

Can you say RARE and my dream combo :( It has to be mint tho. Not that this one isn't nice but I'd probably completely rebuild it and give it a nice paintjob black again and new headlights and ugh it's soo nice..

That is almost my car exactly. Ive got a 93, black on black mtx. We have the same wheels, same suspension, similar mods and similar maintinance, nearly identical milage. Biggest differences is that you have full leather, I have extrude honed intake, you have no rust, and i have a 29mm rear sway bar. Rock on buddy, nice car, solid price for a car surviving with some miles.

Wow. . . . an absolute steal at the price! Had I not picked up my Black/Black 93 two weeks ago, I'd be all over this!

It looks awesome! I always wanted a gen 2 black on black. Too bad I just got a new SHO, otherwise I would be making a trip to longview. It makes me sad to see nice interior. I might have to put interior back in my SHO.

It's missing one thing tho. You should've put some tire shine stuff.

Bump

I added prices for all that I spent on this car. Convention delivery may be available if somebody from the west coast is heading to Detroit. The car is very reliable and won't have any trouble making it there.

You have to get the one you really want. Good luck finding it. My only other SHO is my 91+, which is close to my favorite combo; white with gray. The interior is beige for now, but some day I'm going to change it to gray.

For whoever else is looking at this car I am open to offers. I'm motivated to sell. I believe the car is priced good for what it has, but if you have an offer, let me know. I know the miles are high, but for another $150 I can include a lower mile 3.2 with the car; unless the motor sells first.

I "sunk up" on this car today. I almost had him if he didn't check his rear view.;)

This is a beautiful SHO. I really like the rims that are on it. Next time Chris, it will be my green one instead of my Exploder.
