Hi everyone,
A couple of months ago I blew a power steering hose. Wrestled it around for a couple of days before I took it into the shop. Since then, I've been plagued with a whirling and groaning sound when turning the steering wheel at idle and under low rpm. When the steering wheel is turned to full lock, I can feel it "pulsing." The power steering pump AND rack have been replaced 2x and most recently, the control valve that mounts on top of the rack.
My mechanic has checked the sub frame and strut bushings and feels they are OK. He can't pinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from. After replacing the pump, rack and control valve, he doesn't know where to look next. Has anyone else had this problem and can recommend what to do next? Thanks in advance!!
