Are your plugs and wires good? Do you have them routed/installed in the proper firing order?

Does the battery light only come on when you are driving the car or under acceleration or when you first pull away from a stop. I am wondering if your engine is moving enough that you are getting a short causing the battery light to come on. Is the battery secured and the cables tight. Did you check all your grounds to be sure they are clean and tight.

On one of my cars, I was working near the battery cables and the cable got pretty close to the accessory belt that it made contact with the battery cable when I accelerated causing a stumble and battery light. Are your motor mounts good, engine not moving at all?

Can you see a discolored area on your front part of the intake from the hood blanket

It can stretch the wiring and cause breaks/short somewhere or put alot of pressure on the DIS module at the wiring plug connections on the sides of the unit.

Not always. Do you see cracks in the module? If there isn't alot of movement then it's not likely damaged. Some people have been able to run their cars with visible damage but I have not had that experience and had to replace mine. Your's is odd as it began with a knock sensor fault code

It is and the intake does have some discoloration. So what does this mean other then a bad motor mount?
